The Trio da Salò was founded in 1998 at the Festival “Incontri
in Terra di Siena” (Italy) by violinist Ani Kavafian, violist Barbara Westphal, and cellist Gustav Rivinius. Their subsequent
recital at the Schleswig-Holstein Festival in Germany was met with great enthusiasm by the press: “A master trio,
technically perfect, with the warmest sound, brilliant, elegant.... Three virtuosi, melting together in a transparent ensemble
of the highest level.” (Süddeutsche Zeitung)

Symphony, and Minnesota Orchestra. Her numerous recital engagements include New York’s Carnegie Hall and Alice Tully
