Violinist GREGORY FULKERSON continues to enjoy an impressive
career in both mainstream and contemporary music. As first prize winner of the International American Music Competition sponsored
by the Rockefeller Foundation, he played important debuts in the United States and Europe, and has performed over 30 concerti
with orchestra, including the world premiere of Richard Wernick's Violin Conerto with the Philadelphia Orchestra under the
direction of Riccardo Muti. His recording of Bach's complete Sonatas and Partitas for Unaccompanied Violin (Bridge) was chosen
one of the Best Recordings of the Year by The New Yorker. He has been the mentor to many young artists and chamber groups,
and is the Director of the Cooper International Violin Competition, held biennially since 2011.
Cellist
JEFFREY SOLOW's impassioned and compelling playing has enthralled audiences throughout the United States, Europe, Latin
America, and Asia. His concerto appearances encompass performances of more than 40 works with
orchestras including the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Japan Philharmonic, Prime Philharmonic (Korea),
Seattle Symphony, Milwaukee Symphony, Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra, and the American Symphony,
and he has been guest artist at many national and international chamber music festivals. A prolific
writer, Strad, Srings and American String Teacher magazines have published his reviews and articles, and
his editions are published by Breitkopf, IMC, Peters, Ovation, Latham, and Henle Urtext. Among his many recordings, two
have been nominated for Grammy Awards. Jeffrey, a Young Concert Artists winner and judge, is past president of the American
String Teachers Association, president of the Violoncello Society of New York, and is Professor of Cello at Temple University
in Philadelphia.
Pianist JEFFREY SWANN has presented recitals and performed with orchestras worldwide,
including the symphonies of Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, Seattle, Indiana, Dallas, Saint Louis, Singapore, Rotterdam, Warsaw, Santa
Cecilia, RAI Turin, Radio France de Montpellier, and the London Philharmonia, among many others. His large and varied repertoire
includes more than 60 concertos as well as solo works ranging from Bach to Boulez, and he has presented frequent Proust- and
Wagner-related programs. He won first prize at the Dino Ciani Competition sponsored by La Scala in Milan and a gold medal
at the Queen Elisabeth Competiiton in Brussels, and was a winner of Young Concert Aritsts. His CD, "The Virtuoso Liszt,"
(Music & Arts) won the Liszt Society's Grand Prix, and his first volume of the complete Beethoven Sonatas (Agorà)
was chosen one of the Best of the Year by Fanfare magazine. He is an adjunct professor at New York University, Music
Director of the Dino Ciani Festival & Academy in Cortina d'Ampezzo, the Adel Visiting Artist-in-Residence at Northern
Arizona University, and Artistic Director of the Scuola Normale Superiore Concert Series in Pisa.
